Sounds like a lack of weight and wrong front tire problem. I have an Oliver 1650 with both a back blade, used for pushing snow, and loader for moving snow. I weighted the rears and put 4 rib implement tires on the front. The tractor weighs a little over 10k lb and pushes as much as 18" of snow around and never skids a front or rear. You can use a loader for plowing but I don't. The box blade is much more efficient. With a heavier tractor and better tires, you should do as well as I do. A hint for snow plowing... keep just enough air in the tires to keep them up... a tire that's just a little soft has a bigger "footprint".
