2-4-D will take out most of the broadleaves, but to really keep it clean you may consider Grazon in the spring or fall. Grazon is 2-4-D with Tordon for residual. Its a great way to hold down woody stuff like Buckbrush and Thistles too. Some species will take up the Tordon in the fall, were as they don't in the spring. The 2-4-D of course is only a contact herbicide. Rick L.
