Any engine with Spash-Oiling should be run with the oil level at least at the FULL mark, or 1/4" over...!!!
If you get it on a hillside, it will get oil better..and not loose a rod..!!
I always use HD 40 Wt Castrol, and have not lost an engine since I started doing this...
The dipstick sets on TOP of the threads, to ck the oil level..
