I had to comment on this water topic, as it is a real concern in my part of the world, too (Central Texas). We've been real fortunate this year in having a wetter than normal summer, but most years, water is an issue. Around here, it's too many folks moving in, planting non-native grass for yards (San Augustine is the favorite), mowing it too short, then, watering like h*** to keep it alive. Doesn't make much sense to me, but lots of folks do it, and won't change their way of doing things.
