Check to see if the choke is fully closing.Once worked on a old Dodge truck that would not start.Finally found the spark plug gaskets were leaking enough on that old low compression engine to keep it from starting.You might want to squirt some oil around the base of the plugs to see if they aren't leaking compression when you crank it.Its a very good practice to blow out the plug holes each time the plugs are removed.Doesn't take much dirt to keep the plugs from sealing.Its especially important on an old low compression engine cranked with a slow 6 volt starter
