I disagree on that. I think there are times when front wheel assist is very useful. Granted it is overkill sometimes, but when you are feeding cattle in muddy lot, its hard to beat front wheel assist on a loader tractor. I used to be stuck all the time with my 2 wheel drive tractor, as soon as you pick up the bucket, your rear wheels spin and you have to dump your load to get out. With front wheel assist, the front wheels kick in and you can back out of just about anywhere. I don't know why it wasn't thought of years ago.
