John, The problem isn't with someone reserving a short name like "Bob" or "John". The problem is that when you reserve a name with spaces in it, you are actually just reserving the first part of the name. So if you've reserved "John in LA", you actually just reserved "John". That means someone else can't reserve "John", "John Smith", or "John in Lower Alabama". How do I know? Because I found that I could no longer use my handle "MarkB". I thought that someone was messing around with me until I looked into it and found that there's another poster to the N-board using the handle "MarkB 2N MS". So now I'm "MarkB_MI".
