It smells awfully fishy to me, too. I would be VERY leery, but... When (if?) the check gets there, take it to the bank. Let them know that you"re suspicious of it and see what they"ve got to say. If it clears (plus a couple of weeks or so, to make sure nothing "sneaks up on ya"), then I suppose it just might be legitimate and you could then release the tractor. As everybody else has mentioned, I would run about as fast as I could (in the opposite direction, of course) from a check for over the amount. If he wants to play that "game" (and it turns out to be a legitimate check, which it won"t) then... hey, nice bonus!! Just my humble opinion... Steve
