And the moon is made out of green cheese....... First off, I'd like to know what farmers got rich from selling corn to be turned into fuel. Not me. They get the same price for their corn as what goes for feed or any other corn products. Some farmers have joined co-ops that own methynol refineries, but they haven't turned a profit as of yet. They will in time, but that's a different story. They are private investors, no different than folks from any other occupation.
I'd like to go back in time, and have the ample fuel supplies, at low prices we had years ago. That'll never happen. I'd like to enjoy $.20 a gallon gas again. That'll never happen either. At this point, the BEST alternative we have, as U.S. citizens, is to use what WE have for fuel. That would be corn.
While it MAY be possible to distill fuel from "milk", it isn't practicle. Corn into alcohol is.
I'd sure like to know where you got your "information", so that I could steer clear of it.
You may be opposed to the idea of using corn (and soybeans) for fuel, but nearly all of the rest of us aren't. Don't look for any "sympathy" here. John
