John Deere never made a deisel in a model A altho I have seen an A tractor that was converted using an Olds Deisel car engine but it would be impossible for the tranny in any 2 cylinder tractor to slip are you thinking clutch?, The only factory made deisel in a 2 cylinder would be a large wide front standard tread such as a R, 80, 820 or 830 or the rare 435 the same size as the 420. if it has a tranny that slips then it would have to be a later 6 cylinder tractor with the power shift transmission, You need to try to find out more information. Deisel and large with a tranny that slips sounds like you have a Ford 6000 SOS tractor.
