TGB: We had two of them--a 300 and a 300 Utility. One had live PTO and full hydraulics, the other did not. They were the "big" tractors on my grandparent"s 50-cow dairy farm for 30+ years, and did everything until we got a 2240 JD. They"re an excellent tractor, provided you recognize that they"re only 35 horse, and don"t expect them to do the work of a larger tractor. One question--you say the tractor has 3-point hitch--does it, or does it have the IH "fast hitch" with a top link? If so, you may have a bit of difficulty finding attachments that will fit, or at least have do some modification. It"s not an insurmountable problem, but one that"s worth understanding before you buy the tractor.
