I am looking at a couple of SAME (Societa Accomandita Motori Endotermici) tractors available through dealers in my area. Both are used machines taken in trade. They are Italian-made air-cooled engine tractors (like the Deutz). One is a Buffalo 130 and the other is a model 90. Both are in the 85-100 HP range (4WD). Both are from the early to mid-80's and have about 4000 hours on the meter. I am looking to use it for haying / lighter tillage work. I know that SAME tractors are very popular in Europe and elsewhere but not in the US. I would appreciate any feedback re: dependability, frequency of breakdowns, parts availability, etc. If anyone out there owns one, owned one, or has any experience with SAME, I would like to hear about it. Thanks in advance. By the way, I live in central NY state.
