They work great if you have the power to run it. The problem I think you are going to have is a 7000 watt is going to need at least a 20 hp tractor. A A/C unit usually has a 30 amp breaker. That is 30 x 220 = 6600 watts. And that is just to run the outside unit. What I have done is to buy a small 110 window unit and install in one room. Every one crowds in this room. (living room in my case) We sleep on blow up beds and try to make it through. It is a rough go but it is better than no A/C.
