I sure hope your tansmisson is not damaged too bad.It is overheating the fluid due to the load it is pulling.when this happens the fluid becomes very thin due to the heat.It then is forced out through the case vent near the top of the housing.Make sure you are not overfilling it with fluid as this also will cause it dispose of fluid through the vent.If the truck does not have a transmisson cooler on it you need to have one put on it if you continue to pull a trailer.Install it and have the fluid and filter changed.Also be sure and select the drive position when towing your trailer.If you tow the trailer in the o/d position it will fry the overdrive clutchpack.Goodluck.
