I ran straight used fryer oil in my Cummins-powered truck (just to see if it would work) this past summer. It ran just fine - a co-worker said that it smelled "like the county fair". Seems like a good option to me, especially with Diesel Fuel up to $2.29/gallon here in Northern New York. A word of advice, though: don't try using veggie below 50 degrees F. without special heaters in the fuel line.
