I have used the flat pulley on my Fordson Major tractor to run a welding generator for almost 40 years. Not sure where one would be available in the USA but here in Canada I believe Princess Auto still has some available. Mine has a triple vee pulley on the welder, so I use 3 vee belts, running right on the flat surface of the tractor pulley. Mcleods, (another Canadian company ) used to sell one with a flat pulley. I still see the odd one at farm auctions up here.
