Congrats on the international deal, I just had a 'local' deal on an International (460) and it didnt turn out so good. I knew it was going to be bad but thought I was getting it cheap enough, we'll see. Mark, you flatter me, you're always be welcome here. Hay deal was something I never considered until I went to Canada on a farm tour with our cattlemans group. Lots of hay there going to Japan, evidentally for fiber (pure timothy) seems that its a bear to import dairy products so they ave quite the local dairy industry. With the cost of land crops tend to be high value. Fiber to maintain rumen function is cheaper to import and very mature timothy is a good and cheap source, plus there are plenty of empty shipping containers heading back to the far east. Have to double compress to make the freight worthwhile but it has been a good deal when I have a lot of excess. I only cleared the same $100 a ton I get for selling hay next door with the extra costs of export and compressing but (in years like this one) where I have a huge excess its a way to move product.
