I think you will find that the loader was made in the U.S.A., but the tractor is made in Japan. I've owned several Kubota's, i have one now, plus several other Kubota products. I haven't found them all that "bullet proof", i've just found them "one of" the best compacts!! If you have a need for a compact, as i occasionally do, then they are a pretty good option. Robert
