As old has said, that could be a number of things. It could be electrical, but I wonder if it isn't fuel. Perhaps a severe blokage in the line or filter, that slowly allows fuel into the float bowl on the carb. When you start it up, it runs for 30 sec. and drains the bowl....quits. Leave sit for a while, fuel trickles back in, and then you try again? Try starting, and when it just starts to die, give it a small shot of ether. If it recovers, you likely have a fuel problem, if it still quits, then it's electrical. I'm not certain on the Jub, but there should be an inline filter either in the bottom of the tank or the carb inlet. Just a trash screen. This is just a thought, as you said you had tank problems.
