Mornin' Jay, Same here! I was living up there in Williston at the time and had a 386DX which lost a partition. It was on a Friday evening, I call the shop and this guy wants $50 to get 'er up and going. I asked him why so spendy, and he tells me it takes special programs to do the job. Hmmmm, special programs huh? At that time there really weren't a lot of "programs" to speak of, so I started a little investigating and of course found that all I needed was the was the darned F-disk. I've never been back to a computer shop since; either the guy was lying or he didn't know anymore about the things than I did. :>) Allan
