UPS provides registered customers with an email address that you can send a verification number to and get back a hard copy of delivery confirmation. More than likely someone who has this address in their address book has a worm virus that mails itself out. Most worm viruses also can fake return email addresses. It probably found yours in the same persons computer and used it for the return/retply to address. The mail from UPS was an automated reply that tere was no shiiping number in the original email sent by the worm.
