The needle scaler is basically an air chisel except in place of the chisel it uses a bundle of hard wires (needles). I bought one a little over a year ago, used it on the rear wheels and weights on the M I have. There was about 17 or 18 layers of paint on this thing, I am not exaggerating, and conventional methods of removing the paint just plain didn't work. That needle scaler made real short work out of it. I bought mine from Northern tools. You can also get one from Harbor Freight. I have also seen just the attacment for sale, if you already own an air chisel.
