Heck why get greedy.....I've hauled for less than $.50 a mile if it's not too far out of my way and I am headed that direction anyways....I look at it this way - I could be running empty and paying for my own fuel. Last summer I hauled a load from WA to NY for $700....customer was happy and I got my fuel paid for. You have to use the hauling schedule and find a backhaul to get a decent rate.
