I have had to use this method a few times. I know it is dangerous, but to mimimize risk, I put both gear levers in neutral. Then I jump terminals to spin engine over with Shutoff knob pulled OUT (Off position) That assures me tractor is not in gear. Then I push knob in & start. Even using this procedure, it is not the smartest thing to do...... Regards, Davis
