Don't know what you've been doing with it but I'd put some Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel and give it time to get into the system then take it out and workhell outta it. Sounds like it is suffering from being babied. Like when we had cars that ran at 30 mph in the city all week. By weeks end they ran horrible. Took them out on the interstate, put her in second gear and rad it up. By the 3rd or 4th time (had to slow back down to stay within speed limit) she was purrin like a kitten. I think the whisps are wads of crud in your combustion chamber braking loose and coming out. The white smoke is water vapor from low cylinder temperature. Mark
