If I were given for free, I'd take the JD. If I had to pay for it, all I could afford is the 1066. I'd say a 1086 is a closer match to a 4440, the 1066 is older & the cab is not up to a comparison. The JD has better shifting, but costs more. For long days of heavy tillage, the cab noise & comfort is important. Shifting doesn't matter much. Amount of funds you have does. I'm sure glad I have my TW-20 and don't have to decide. :) --->Paul
