I"ve only been around one byfold door. It was 50" wide x about 20" high. Like overhead doors , it lifted with cables. Problem was , it opened very slow. Sliding door is ok. Depending on situation , you may have to shovel snow / melt ice in order to open it. I would think an overhead door would seal up better , should you want to hold any heat. My choice would be overhead door.
