the v-10 didn't have a problem with the spark plugs, it was the 4.6 and the 5.4 in the '98-01 years. if you put the new design ford spark plug you could save a head. the new plug has three times more thread on it so it holds better in the head. also when you change the plugs they need to be tourqed to spec and then it's a good idea to go back and retourqe number three on the pass. side after a few hundred miles( hence the one that always blows out!) casey in SD
