Shouldn't they lay on the snow in this weather? Better insulation than the cold ground??? Mine will lay on an old bale first, snow second, dirt third, and rarely lay on the concrete when it is this cold when given choices. Bout the same for feeding. Of course, we only have an inch of snow this year, and when we have more on a normal year (40 inches or so) it gets whipped into a hard bank, perhaps you get a different snowfall..... --->Paul
