I like my magnetic heater. I use it on a 2000 Super Dexta with a 3 cylinder diesel. I heat the water jacket. I tried to heat the oil but that takes much longer. I usually heat the water jacket for at least 1 hour. I live in NW Ohio and the temp is currently 15 degrees F. There are many good heaters, but I like the versatility of the magnet. I often use it on my 8N just to make the starting easier. My tractors are kept in a barn so that helps quite a bit. One word of caution, the heater will get hot enough to burn you, so be careful. I respect what the other guys have to say and I don't want to appear contrary, but the magnet heats just as well as the lower radiator hose heater it replaced. I hope you have as good of luck with yours as I have had with mine.
