Firing order is 1-2-3, as cast into the intake manifold. #1 contact on the distributer cap should be a little towards the front of the cap and away from the block. Assuming the distributer shaft is timed properly with the cam. I think #2 and #3 are counterclockwise from that point. Verify that by observing distributer rotation while cranking with the cap off.
