When dad worked at the Fiat-Allis dealership back in the 70's every piece of equipment on the yard got started, warmed up to operating temp, and ran around the yard at least once a month. This allowed moisture buildup to get "burned" out of the system as well as keeping the seals lubricated to prevent dry rotting and flattening.
