OT: value of rough Kaiser M-38 Jeep?

My dad left me a 1967 Kaiser M-38 Canadian Military Jeep. The canvas top is good, it's strong mechanically, but the body got eaten badly by rust the winter it spent in a heated garage getting a motor job. I have left it sitting outside for three years. The tires are still up and it should start with a tow. A guy is coming to look at it as a parts source for a restoration. I told him we could start talking at $1000 CDN. The truck has 38,000 miles on it. Registration is complete. It has a 24v system, military tires and the original paint. The engine has about twenty hours on it since the rebuild. The rest of the power train is fine, as well. Brakes are recently done with a new master cylinder kit. The bad news is that body panels are extensively rusted: there's a big hole under the driver's feet, and I assume the frame is no better, though it is still square. Opinions?
