I know this will trigger some responses but I have stored my boat for over 2 years with fuel in the tank and have had no problems at all with it. I did put a storage additive in it when putting it away with a full tank (50 gallons), and took the advice of the marine mechanic and used PRI-G additive when I put it back in service. I have a large water separating cartridge fuel filter in-line as well as 2 screens down stream. I try to use as much fuel as I can as soon as I get it back in the water so when I put fresh fuel in I am replacing a higher volume. This is starting to concern me a little however as I don"t use the boat as often anymore and I have a tough time using 50 gallons in a season. So far it has been OK but I"m always concerned about getting a tank of sludge. Not to suggest that this would work for everyone but so far it"s been ok for me, so far........
