Washington's Birthday

Even tho' the uninformed choose to celebrate today...........3rd Monday in February........as President's Day, it is in-fact a celebration of Washington's Birthday (moved from his birthday, February 22, to today by R. M. Nixon. Has never been changed from Washington's Birthday to "President's Day" by act of Congress or a President. However a question arises to which I've never received a satisfactory answer; He (Washington) was " first in war, first in peace and first in the hearts of his countrymen", but he married a Widow........???????? So, am I to believe that he was not first in every endeavor????
