And your decision will come down to what you use this tractor for. While the 861 is nice with its live pto; I find the 5 speed a little high geared for close suburban work. But on the other hand I would think a 2600 would have to put out every grunt it has to pull a 2 bottom plow and a 6' hog. Those pieces are more in line with the power of your 861. For me and the type of work I use a tractor for; I would trade my 861 diesel any day of the week for a 3000; maybe even a 2000; that has live pto and the 8 speed trans.
