First, I"m not familiar with your particular application, but I too have wished for front wheels on my under-tractor deck. Lack of clearance with front tractor wheels, and structural integrety of deck have stalled me so far. If the clearance problem is solved, will the deck stand having it"s entire weight supported on one wheel bolted to the front of the deck - it"s bound to happen, that you hit an obstruction just right, and the entire weight will be on the one wheel. I would suggest some sort of reinforcement of the deck where you attach the wheel, not only from a weight bearing, but a forward motion situation as well. There are probably casters available at an industrial supply which would work for your intended project.
