We have had ours for about 10 years now and really like it. Was cheap horsepower! They are rather light so if you need to pull hard you will need fluid and weights. Ours is unweighted and it will spin out but it is really nice in the muck! Don't even worry about that Cat 3160. Ours has over 5000 hours and it purrs great. After all it is a Cat, and that goes for the 3208's too. But they are high rev engines and without a turbo they don't like low rpms and lugging. Need to run near 2000-2500 it seems for the best torque. Only problem we have is the belts that run the hyd pumps come off but on ours the brackets for the pumps are a bit wore and stuff can wobble a bit. And the bushings in the shaft that connects the engine to the tranny have gone out twice but that is a really easy fix. Other than the noise they are a brute, hard as nails. I'd go for it.
