I've got a 4440 QR with 8350 hours on the clock. Never so much as a whimper out of the trabby. I've had it serviced a couple times while the tractor was at the dealer for other issues. (Last time was during complete engine OH at 7990 hrs.) It was used to drag a 12' chisel plow for about 7 years. Since then, just pulling a planter or drill, plus some occational hay work. I will argue with ANYONE that the 4440 is/was the best tractor ever built for it's time. I've ran a couple 4840's with the powershift. I also have a 4020 with PS. It's tough to beat. Both are as good as anything in the field. Bottom line though, niether are any better than HOW THEY'VE BEEN TREATED THROUGH-OUT THEIR LIVES....
