I agree your tractor is junk. Therefore, please tell me where you are located and I will remove it from your yard as a favor to you :> Or, 6 volt systems hate dirty cables, grounds etc. I would first check to be sure battery is fully charged, disconnect and clean both cables at each end and try again. If that does not work, then remove starter and try it on the bench under no load and post result.
