You do not need anything special for vine crops..You want to plant the rows at least 10 feet apart and 10 feet between hills...careful measure of distance to insure you can cross cultivate is important..unless you plan on doing a lot of hand hoeing...If you understand vine crops you will know they will completely fillin all the space between hills and rows and set roots everywhere.....One person can plant more vine crops than 50 can keep clean or harvest. I would learn well the chemicals that will keep weeds down or import some migrant workers to keep any large area of vine crops clean.....irrigation is also very important on most vine crops...
