www.tractorbynet.com is a good place for compact tractor discussions. Me, I hate the hydro trannies (steal power & reduce feed-back to the operator...) & plastic & electronic new tractors. You'll find a lot of that 'tude from around here. :) I really like my NH 1720 tho - nice manual shift, not too much plastic yet.... The things you mention as good features sound like future nightmares to me, but I'm used to putting 1000 hours a year on my various tractors & need to keep them running without spending $95 an hour for labor. So, the less flash & plastic, the better.... I think in the end, it is your coin flip on those 2 - it will come down to the money & which one feels better to your back side... Not much of any other difference. Both engines come from good Japaneese stock, and the rest is all just bolted on stuff of about equal value. If it were me, I would be comparing the loader lift capacity to the extra money to make my choice as those are the only 2 things I see of value in your list, but that is what would be important to _me_. You need to sort out the fine points of what is important to you. Is the hyd output something you will need/ use - the gpm is actually pretty close in the same range - but if you have a _need_ then it could be important???? Are you getting extra ports on the tractor? You need to define how you are going to use your tool, & buy the tool that does the things you need. And so on. --->Paul
