My wife's uncle bought a Granite one in Minnesota in 1992 for $75. This one is about 4 foot high, 4' across at the botom, and 2 foot thick (give or take the sizes). Figured out it weighs right at 1 ton (2067#, actually). He loaded into a 1964 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup and hauled it to Independence, Missouri (KC). He had it on an old car hood in the truck so it would slide out with a come-along. We hauled the rock to Polk, Nebraska in 1997 (he died in 94) in a trailer, and from there to our farm in Tecumseh, Nebraska in a trailer. Stupid rock has more miles on it than most vehicles. Been sitting out here for two years - wife still hasn't decided where she wants it.
