We just burned off a 6 acre field last Sunday. I disked all around the field about 10-12 feet from the edge. We then burned in along the far edge about 20 feet in the direction the wind was blowing. I then had a torch that hooks up to a 20 Lb propane tank and used that to get the fire going on the opposite end. Took about 4 hours as the wind was not blowing hard. It went well seeing as none of us had ever done it before.
