Just rebuilt the 351w in my 84 1-ton SRW 4wd. Bored .030, crank turned .020 under, new pistons, rings all bearings, cam( stock) and lifters, had the had the valve seats reground, and new seals put in. It wont run. the factory intake gasket was a tin that covered the lifter valley, my gasket set came with just normal intake gaskets, i didnt put the tin part back in, just used the gaskets from my kit. I bring No. 1 tdc of compression, distribitor rotor, points to 1 on the cap, I crank it with spark plug out of number 1, and watch the spark testerhits compression and sparks, back fires through carb. I hope this was enough info for someone to help me. Thanks in advance for the help. Ben Rauls
