Just lawyer talk, unless you have some local law against. Just make sure your exhaust is sound and exits behind your truck. Hauled parrots from Las Vegas to Mississippi and later back to Texas. No problems and they have very sensitive lungs. Watch that the dog does not get overheated. I spent the extra on gas to run the air conditioning with the sliding glass open to the cab across the desert. It was late spring and outside temps were in the 90's.
