Only you can deside if Onstar is worth it or not. When my cell phone won"t work, Onstar always has. I"ve locked my keys in the truck twice in the last few years, and Onstar has unlocked it for me, in just a few minutes and for free of course. I"ve had an engine warning light come on a few times and Onstar has told me what(if anything) was wrong, and once or twice reset the system when there was no problem. I don"t use their phone service if my regular cell phone will work because it costs more, but there are a lot of places on the farm where I can"t get a regular cell phone signal so Onstar is handy then. Thats been my experience with Onstar.
