I have a 54' Model 1614, has been one is if not the best pieces of machinery I've ever owned, VERY VERY trouble free. The model number is the rear tire size followed by engine horsepower. Like mine is 14 horse, 16" rear tires. Others, 24" rear tires, 16 horse =2416 and so on. They are a dandy tractor with a 5' belley mower. Only complaints from me is that 2nd gear is too slow, and 3rd is too fast for mowing, and they don't turn that sharp at all. An optional 3 speed low range is available, yours may have it being a 73'.
