Dad and I have tried some on several different mowers.Cost is about the same as the regular blades.Some mowers they work great on and others not that much difference,You would have to be the judge of that for your mower and your type of conditions.I have them on a JD LX172 38" deck I am not happy with the way it cuts but the Gator Blades are the best so far and take less power than the JD high and med. lift ones. Go to their web site and read about them.From what I remember they are to help with the multching by redirecting the clippings back over the blade again so they can get cut some more.
