Guess if I could give the "younger generation" any advice, it would be to buy whatever real estate you can, as soon as you can- I cringe when I see young people looking for "our dream place", meanwhile burning money on rent. Buy something you can barely afford, even if it isn't your dream- and take advantage of the inflating real estate market. It's almost impossible to save up money as fast as prices are rising, and as the years go by, you'll be further, not closer, to your dream unless you've invested in something.
